Hello Again!

Yes, we are still here! We've really been focusing on getting some routines going for home upkeep and "school" this month, but I thought it was about time to do a quick update on "the blog."
There have been a lot of interesting learning experiences for all of us this month, and some fun too. Emily is walking on a regular basis now, but she's still taking it slow. If she's in a hurry, she just gets down and crawls. I don't have a picture of her today, but should have some this weekend. Yes, she has kept her red hair and blue eyes thus far!
Jeremy has been working on learning Bible scriptures from the "My ABC Bible Verses" book along with Justin and is doing a great job...it's amazing what little minds can absorb! Also, as Grandpa would say, Jeremy doesn't know any strangers...only friends he hasn't met yet! He's such a little entertainer. Notice the picture? :-)
Justin is our budding pilot! For the last couple of weeks he has been working on a unit about aiplanes and other things that fly...he absolutely loves it and is convinced he wants to be a pilot for FedEx when he grows up. (Because dad said he could make a lot of money with them :) Last night Justin went out flying with his Grandpa...

Here he is flying over our house...yes, Grandpa confirmed Justin was the one flying!
Justin also learned to play chess in the last couple of weeks and he and Josh have been having a great time trying to beat Dad in a game. Neither has been successful yet. :)
Josh has been blessed with several different people that have come into his life to "be his friend." These people spend quite a bit of time with him throughout the week "hanging out," teaching him community skills, and helping him with basic life skills. One of them is helping him to be successful at a job cleaning the pool at the local gym. He likes "multi-tasking." He has to be treading water while he scrubs the tiles in the deep end! I hope to get a picture of him at his job sometime soon.
I am grateful everyday for how generous and great God is! I hope to remember to tell Him that more often! Thank you Lord for our wonderful children...what amazing creations they are!

Pack Meeting

Justin joined a Homeschool Cub Scout Pack this year, and last Friday they had a pack meeting where he earned a couple of belt loops. Belt loops are the first stage in the Sports and Academics program...it is designed to peak their interest in the sport or subject they learned about. He earned belt loops for soccer and skiing...both of which he loves and is very good at! I am really impressed with all that the Cub Scouts have to offer and hope that he will stay intersted in it for awhile.

Fun in the Snow!

We have about 6 in. of fresh snow, and after we shoveled it all the boys decided to enjoy it!
It's really cold out there...I think about 9 degrees.
Jeremy prefers to just stick with Dad on anything that has a motor!

Here's Justin riding behind the 4-wheeler

When taking Josh for ride, Dad's goal is to try and throw Josh off the sled (this is obviously a posed picture :))
